Default Page Break

I have a multi page document and the page break at the end of page one has
moved up to the top of the page. This is preventing me inserting an object.
If I remove this page break, the first page disappears! Help please.

Default Page Break

What, exactly, is changing as you delete the break? If you are losing things
such as headers, footers, and margins, it seems as if you are deleting a
section break. See the "Merging sections" section of the article at
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...thSections.htm.
