Default "Bullets and Numbering"

In WORD, the numbered outline function has simply stopped working. No matter
which "outline" style I use, when I drop down to a new level, and tab over, I
do not get the new outline number.

I am operating in Windows 2000 Professional.

Default "Bullets and Numbering

Tools AutoCorrect Options AutoFormat As You Type Set Left and First
Indent with Tabs and Backspaces ?

However, be careful to use styles that are properly set up to control
bullets and numbering if you want to be able to edit your documents. This is
not intuitive, you need to follow the steps shown in the following articles
exactly.

See: How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in your Word
document

bullets see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/bull...olbullets.html, the
subject is related.)
