Default Spell check she no work in HTML?

One of my users has complained that despite all settings being reasonable
(ToolsOptionsSpelling looks OK; and Word not ticked as default mail editor
in ToolsOptionsMail Format ) spelling errors are never detected when he
hits F7 to do a spell check when replying to an email received in HTML. Can I
fix this?

Suzanne answered a question last year suggesting that the spellchecker is
switched off when one pastes something from the web--could this be related?

It is possible (and frequently seems to happen by accident) to format text
to not be checked for spelling. It is likely that the words not being
checked are formatted for no proofing.

To see if this is happening, open one of the documents and press Shift-F1.
Then click on one of the misspelled words. Word will display the formatting
applied to that Word (and the source of the formatting).

If it says "no proofing" or "do not check spelling and grammar" you need to
modify the language setting. Select your entire document (Ctrl-A) and use
Tools Language to change the setting.

I don't know of anything that does this automatically with web text. But
that is simply ignorance. It could be that there is.
