Default I have a protected file that i am unable to open using word 2003

I have a file that i protected while working on another computer running word
2003. When i sent the file to my new computer and deleted mt old account i
found i could not open this file.

I have the password for the file, i am not trying to break the file i just
need to be able to open it.

I have followed all onscreen instructions in word 2003 to download the
correct certificates. The final stage is for me to log into word using the
..net passport i used to download the certificate with. But it will not let me
log in??

For some reason it will not get through "Connecting to
corprights.microsoft.com"

Any help will be greatly appreciated
