Default making justified text look the same

I am typing a document which must be justified. The text looks fine until I
print out and then some lines appear italicized or smaller fonts than the
rest. I am using an older Epson dot matrix printer. How can I get all fonts
the same and the document justified?

I would guess that this is a printer rendering issue.

Yes, it is -- I've seen this happen before. It's more likely to be a
mechanical problem with aged parts rather than anything
software-related.

The "italic" lines happen when the dots from multiple passes of the
print head don't align properly; the dots in the bottom half of each
letter are slightly to the left of where they should be relative to
the top half. Sometimes you can use the printer driver's print-head
alignment utility to fix this.

The small lines happen when the rubber paper-mover rollers slip and
don't push the paper far enough between passes of the print head. You
may be able to fix this by scrubbing the rollers with a pencil eraser
(if you can reach them), or you may need to replace the rollers
because they've become too hard and can't grip properly.

The final answer, of course, is to replace the printer.
