Default How do you print the first page of a booklet in Word?

I have a large document set up in word as a booklet and I only want to print
the first page of it [of course with the last page and the corresponding
inside page. Is there any way to do this without printing the whole document?

Thanks

Printing specific pages of "book fold" documents is hit-or-miss. Supposedly,
if you select a specific page, Word will print it along with the three
associated pages. My experience is that this rarely happens. Often I get a
blank page even if I input the specific numbers of the four pages in
question. You can try printing "Current page," but that likely won't work,
either. If I have a need to print specific pages (of a very long booklet),
that's when I end up reverting to creating the doc the old-fashioned way, as
described at -

I find that I sometimes mess up the page order and end up with (for example) 20 sets of pages 3 & 4 and 5 & 6 - but only 10 sets of 1 & 2 and 7 & 8. In other words, I've got 10 sets too many of pages 3 & 4 and 5 & 6.

Word won't reliably print only selected pages from a booklet. Rather than throw away all the pages you have too many of, here's a work-around that allows you to produce extra copies of the pages you are short of.

- Set up your booklet
- Print to a pdf (I use PDF Redirect but there are many alternatives)
- Now print from the pdf the specific pairs of pages you want, turning them over as necessary

It's not elegant, but it works.

EDIT: I'm now convinced this is the best way to print booklets. Word is just too unreliable. Printing from a pdf has its drawbacks (memory hungry and slow!) but it DOES give you total control: you can print what you need and ONLY what you need.

Try it. I'm a convert.
