Default If then field in merge document

HI,

in Word2007 how do i view "if then" merge fields ..... there used to be a
menu option in earlier versions to show them but i can't find it in 2007?

Default If then field in merge document

Hi Nigel,

In Word 2007, the path is via the Office ButtonWord OptionsAdvanced selections, then scrolling down to 'Show document content',
under which is an entry named 'Show field codes instead of their values'.

Toggling via Shift-F9 for a single field, or Alt-F9 for the whole document, is quicker.
