Default Tracking Changes - Deletions Hidden

After using tracking for some time, my deletions are suddenly hidden. I
looked under Tools Options Track Changes and the Deletions field is NOT
set to hidden, as I would have expected.

What else would cause deleted text to disappear? Tools Track Comments is
turned on and View Markup is set to view all of the changes.

Perhaps you are in Final rather than Final Showing Markup view?
