Default Check for Errors Button

Curious....whenever I do a check for errors before a merge, I never get any
errors. What kinds of errors would I see if I got one? Exactly what kind of
errors is it searching for?

Default Check for Errors Button

One thing that will definitely cause errors is if you have problems with the
layout of the data source. For example if it is an Excel file in which some
of the cells are merged for some records. The same would go for a Word
table that contained merged cells.
