why would the document create in Word 2007, save as a 2003 document, and
email to a client, open up with three or four times as many pages? |

Same size font? Same margins? Are the extra pages blank?

Yes, the font and margins say they are the same, there are no extra pages,
its just that the spacing between the lines is HUGE. The paragraph setting still says single, auto space. There is no way to reduce the spacing. "JoAnn Paules" wrote: Same size font? Same margins? Do the paragraphs use the "Keep with next" or "Keep lines together"
pagination properties? Check the Paragraph format to be sure. Since no two printers print the same it could be the printer on the recipient's end has a smaller or larger printable area than your printer which is throwing off the pagination. Since Word is attempting to keep the content on the same page, as instructed, it may move large portions of the document to another page and leave a lot of empty space on your pages as a result. If that's not it then your document may be set to "Automatically update document styles" and the styles on the recipient's end have more space between the lines than yours. To check this, on the Developer tab click Document Template. If "Automatically update document styles" is selected, deselect it and see if that resolves the issue. If you don't see the Developer tab, click the Office Button, click Word Options, and you'll find the "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon" option in the Popular section. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beth Melton Microsoft Office MVP https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Melton What is a Microsoft MVP? http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/gp/mvpfaqs Guides for the Office 2007 Interface: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/tr...295841033.aspx "Bonnie" wrote in message ... why would the document create in Word 2007, save as a 2003 document, and email to a client, open up with three or four times as many pages? |

I checked, and the paragraphs do not have "keep with next" or "keep lines
together" pagination set. I also checked on the "automaticly update document styles" and that was not checked. What printer is set as the default on the recipient's computer? And what
