inserting/editing shapes
Is it possible in word 2007 to save the outline of a shape, and be able to
edit the inside...for example, I want to take a map of my local area, insert it into word and keep the outline but edit the inside. I hope this makes sense! Many thanks Bryan |

Word is not a graphics application. If you have a steady hand you may be
able to trace around the map using the tools from the autoshapes palette; but frankly with most hands it will be a lash-up. You may also be able to write over the image, but for best results you need to edit the map in a graphics package and insert the results into the document. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Bryan wrote: Is it possible in word 2007 to save the outline of a shape, and be able to edit the inside...for example, I want to take a map of my local area, insert it into word and keep the outline but edit the inside.
