Default pasting tables in Word

When I paste a table from one word doc into another, but as a "picture", it
displays the cell borders even though I specify "no borders" in the original
table. Is there any way to remedy this?

If you have the latest version of Word, when you paste a small drop-down
menu should appear. It provides choices on whether to format the pasted
material as in the source document or the destination.
