Add a date formatting switch to the field - see

We are having the same issue with Word 2007 not bringing the Excel formatting
we have set in the Excel file.

While we can do the steps you recommend, we did not have this issue with
Word 2003. Are we missing something or did Word 2007 take a step backwards?

We hope you or some of the Microsoft gurus will reply.

Thanks.

Actually, this changed in Word 2002, when MS changed the connection method
from DDE to OLEDB, but you can still use DDE; see
