Default I have problems saving from Word. I cannot use the dropdown menu

I am only able to save on desktop. The Save menu "freezes" and I have to
close down if I try to save to any other location.

If this does not also happen in Excel, do Word troubleshooting:

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.
