Default How do I KEEP print layout view WYSIWIG?

Often and inexplicably, the Print Layout view in Word XP Professional will
switch to where I cannot see the top margin, i.e., the white space
disappears. I want to know what it looks like, not just display the editing
area. I cannot seem to keep it set that way.
