How do I prevent toolbars from changing and rearranging themselve.
My toolbars change from the time I close either spreadsheet or word document
and even my Outlook toolbars change. The other frustrating item is preventing the movement of the toolbars I do want to keep. Instead of staying where they are when I close the program, they shift to another position when the program is reopened. How do I prevent this occurance? |

G'day "Sammyb9" ,
This is a Word newsgoup. Thus we can answer the Word part. Toolbar customisations are stored in: * The template you specify (if you do specify one!) * Normal.dot * The Word data key in the registry * The template the UI device is stored in So there are many combos of mistakes that give rise to the phenomenon you describe. I opened normal.dot, removed the toolbar I didn't want, adjusted the
remaining toolbars how I wanted them and now I'm going to sleep and i'll see how this has worked the next time I open a doc file. Is there something similar for excel? Did you ever figure out how to keep your toolbars in Word the way you last
left them? I find that they are constantly minimizing and moving around.
