Default Letterhead margins are lost when we email the letter

We have a Word document that has the margins setup for letterhead. When this
document is attached in an email and sent, the margin settings are lost. Both
users have the same printer set as their default printer.

Same printer, or same printer driver (and operating system). It is a big
distinction. Also, does your letterhead have the box checked to update
styles checked under Tools Templates and Add-Ins? It should not.
