Default Header and footer

I have created a table in Header and Footer. I have also created a table in
body of document. There's always a gap between the bottom of the header and
top of table in body. Similarily the gap exists in bottom of the table in
body and top of footer. How to merge those?

Wherever there is a table, there must be a normal text paragraph below it.
There is no way to get around this. You can, however, format that paragraph
as 1 point font size or as Hidden text. In order to select the paragraph
easily, display nonprinting characters. If you choose Hidden format, you'll
need to hid the nonprinting characters (or at least Hidden text) before the
gap will be closed.
