Default word does not srart a new page automatically when 1 page is filled

I have Microssoft Office 2003 Pro, and when using word it will not start a
new page automatically when the 1st page fills up with text. I have
downloaded all the office updates and even tried to unintstall and reiinstall
word. However I still can not resolve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
Is this a software glitch or is there a way to change the setting? Thanks...

I already tried that and it doesn't make a difference. I wonder if I have a
glitch in the actual software. I usually can fix anything on my computer.
Thanks for trying...

More than likely, you are used to working in Print Layout view, and you are
now in Normal view. Hit your View menu and try other views.

What happens when you go to View--Print layout, then View--Zoom, Page
Width? If it's hosed, here's Word troubleshooting:

Does this occur in only one particular document? If yes, then
open the document, and click on Format | Columns | One | Apply
to: Whole document | OK. Even if "One" already appears to be
selected, click on it anyway.

Or does this occur in all new documents? If yes, then locate and
open your Normal.dot file as described in Method 1 in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm . Click
on Format | Columns | One | Apply to: Whole document | OK. Even
if "One" already appears to be selected, click on it anyway. Type
a character or two and delete what you just typed. Save the
Normal.dot file and close it.
