Default What causes the hyphen key to produce dots?

It doesn't appear that there is anything else in that font that is a wee bit
longer. There is a dash but it's too long to serve as a hyphen.

Glad I could be of some assistance.

Okay, I went back and changed the font to TNR for just thehyphen and that
fixed the problem. Thanks for your help.

I looked at that font. The hyphen does appear to be a bit shorter than
Arial
or TNR.

Working on Word document, and suddenly the hyphen key does not type a
hyphen,
but instead types dots (not periods).
