Default mail recepient greyed out in send to

using new dell e521 desktop, vista home premium, with originally installed
works 8.5 without word. i installed word 2002. uninstalled microsoft office
SB 2003 trial version, without ever activating with the product key. using
windows mail. set it as default program. under startdefault programs.

i completed a document, & went to email it. i used filesend to & the mail
recepient is greyed out. i checked help in word. under toolsoptionsgeneral
tab, "mail as attachment" is checked. i toggled on/off as a repair. i had
tried the "detect & repair" in help also. still greyed out.

i have had some other minor glitches, & i am ready to just
uninstall/reinstall the 2002 program.

i figured i'd write to this group before i do anything. i have always
received good help here! any help greatly appreciated.

how to get the send to mail recepient back?

thank you, len kiesling
