In Word 2003 you could change your ruler from Inches to Points, any idea how
to do that in 2007?

This is now found by clicking the Microsoft Office Button, clicking Word
Options, and then by clicking Advanced. Scroll down to the Display section
and you'll find the "Show measurements in units of option".
