change that was made. Is there a way to stop this box from popping up?

You could disable ScreenTips (Tools | Options | View), but that would affect
only your own machine; the display on anyone else's would depend on his/her
settings. If you don't want this information to be disclosed at all, check
the box for "Remove personal information..." on the Security tab of Tools |
Options.

It's a Screen Tip. You can disable them but it disables all screen tips not
just ones for tracked changes.

Tools Options View tab
Uncheck Screen Tips
