Default using a table in word- cursor in wrong place

I've just opened an ongoing table in 'word' I've tried to add new words into
blank spaces and the words are swapping round.
If I type 'not yet' it appears as 'yet not'
I've noticed Language is set to Bahrain...I cant get it to stay on English.
Cananyone help?
Thanks
Dave
