How do I protect a template?
I've created a template in word and only want users to be able to fill in the
macros. Is there a way to protect the rest of the form from being edited? I've included a copy. How do I protect a template?
You are trying to combine MacroButton fields (not protected) with the idea

How do I protect a template?
What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFl...nesInForms.htm. You'll end up redoing your fields to use form fields but it will do what you want. Alternatively, you can use macrobutton fields and have your users go from field to field using the F11 key. This is more flexible but it is harder to get users to not mess up the page.
