using the versioning feature among multiple contributors
Looking to use versioning in word as a means of sharing a document through
the editing process using the reviewing tool bar. What is the best method of sending the document between 2-3 people w/o changing file name yet keep track of veriuoning history? |

The Versions feature in Word has been removed in 2007 [because it was such
an abject atrocity in prior versions] See here for *one* suggestion, but separate files is pretty well recognized as the safest rout unless you have some other resource available. Consider naming in reverse for your files: Rather than: DocumentOfTheDayVersion1 Try using: V1-DocumentOfTheDay or some other alternative that makes it workable for your group. -- HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac "compliance data" wrote in message ... As the document moved from #1, #1, #3 the ID of the previous review is lost.
I believe that you are correct that the best way around this is with renameing the file with a consistant format thanks "CyberTaz" wrote: The Versions feature in Word has been removed in 2007 [because it was such an abject atrocity in prior versions] See here for *one* suggestion, but separate files is pretty well recognized as the safest rout unless you have some other resource available.
