I can't change the default font in Word 2007.
I followed the instructions in "Help" to change the default font to Gautami,
but it still comes up as Times New Roman. Is there something else I have to do? |

I can't change the default font in Word 2007.
Try this: Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S. Word displays the Styles pane. Click the
Manage Styles button, and click the Set Defaults tab. Specify the desired settings. Select "New documents based on this template" and click OK. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "jfrandaly" wrote in message ... I can't change the default font in Word 2007.
This didn't work, but from Manage Styles, I went to Edit, Modify, and
Formatting, and I changed it there. That worked. (I feel a little confused about using the "Styles", and I hope I didn't change something else in the process.) And now, the simpler procedure that didn't work before seems to work. So your post was helpful in pointing me in the right direction. Thanks. "Stefan Blom" wrote: Try this: Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S. I'm glad you got it sorted.
Note that not all styles are affected (this applies to headings, for example) by setting the Defaults as I described in my previous message, which could explain why it didn't work for you. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "jfrandaly" wrote in message ...
