Default How do I assign a shortcut for non-yellow highlighting text?

I would like to create a shortcut for highlighting text in other colors than
default yellow. Is there any way to do it? Thanks. M.

You can create a keyboard shortcut for applying highlighting, but it will
always use the current highlight color (which can be set to something other
than yellow). You could use text shading instead; this can be included in a
character style that could be applied with a keyboard shortcut (this is also
easier to change/remove than highlighting).

Create a character style based on Default Paragraph Font. In the Modify
Style dialog, choose Format | Border... Then, on the Shading tab, select the
desired shading color.
