This may be attributable to the graphics driver with recent ATI display
adapters and the Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family causing
particular problems. There are new drivers available from the manufacturers
that fix the problem.

Make sure you are using the latest driver, then if the problem persists, try
reducing the display's hardware acceleration.

You may need a new video driver or an upgrade to the video card.

To troubleshoot, go to the Windows Control Panel and choose Display
Settings Advanced Troubleshoot and move the Hardware Acceleration slider
a notch or two to the left. Click the Apply button. Try Word to see if the
problem goes away. If not, move the slider further to the left and try
again. Repeat until the problem stops or the slider is all the way to the
left.

If at any point in the procedure the problem stops, then you should check
the video-card manufacturer's web site for a newer driver, or consider
replacing the card with a faster one.

This is usually due to either (or both) of two conditions:

1- The computer/graphics card has a limited amount of RAM (memory), and/or
2- the video processor, or its software, is too slow to keep up with the
movement of the graphic.

The first thing to try is a setting in the Windows Control Panel. Not
knowing which version of Windows you're using the simplest thing to do is:

1- Right-Click your Windows Desktop & select Properties from the shortcut
menu
2- Click the tab marked Settings, then click the Advanced button at the
bottom
3- Go to the Troubleshoot tab and drag the Hardware Accelleration slider to
the left 2 or 3 ticks, then click OK in both dialogs.

If that helps, contact the mfr of your computer/graphics card (depends on
how your system is constructed) to see if there is an updated video driver.
That should resolve the problem.

If a driver update isn't available you may want to consider installing a new
video card.
