Default How do you number pages inside a footer?

I have found the best way for me is to use the auto text button on the header
footer toolbar. Use/insert Page X of Y where you want in the footer and it
will number automatically for you.

Click on the Insert Page Number button to insert a PAGE field. Use the
built-in tab stops or paragraph alignment to position the page number where
you want it.
