Why don't you want to copy paste? Maybe this is a homework
question? Need HELP transfering data from word to excel sheet
Hi,
first of all, I would suggest you to convert this text to table in word (use Table - Convert - Text to table) and convert it in such many columns as much zip codes you have in one row. As separator define "Other" and then type blank. After that you can copy or link (copy - paste special - paste link) into Excel, but you will have every zip code in separate cell. And then it is easier to manipulate with data in cells, if you for example want all data in one column (copy/cut - paste special - transpose...). If you want all the data in one column then during the convert text to table
process, set one column there! -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Nika Lampe wrote: Hi, first of all, I would suggest you to convert this text to table in word (use Table - Convert - Text to table) and convert it in such many columns as much zip codes you have in one row.
