User-specific TOC problem
For a saved file with a TOC generated on another machine by another user,
while logged in as myself, I get a one-line TOC that looks like this TABLE OF CONTENTS { TOC \o "1-3" \h \z \n 1-1} If I log in as someone else, the full 32 line table of contents appears. Amazingly, I tried to copy and paste the bracketed text above and the full TOC appeared in this message. Could this be a registry problem? Yesterday, my IT professional removed and reinstalled Word (the whole suite as well). |

Under Tools and Options, in the View section, you can select to display
Field Codes (that's what it's doing). If you *uncheck* this, and than save the document, it will display normally. You can also toggle these codes by pressing ALT+F9.
