Default We have word documents referencing a template on a dead server ho.

We have a large amount of documents that reference a template on a server
that has become obsolete due to an AD upgrade opening them now takes 3 - 4
minutes because the it is searching for the previous template. is there a way
that the old template can be dereferenced painlessly. thank you
