MS word formatting
I have a document that was originally created in WP (the other company). It
was converted to Word. I need to remove all of the formatting. Is there a way to do it without editing every line? -- Thanks for your help. Donna |

Brute force method is to save as it as plain text (.txt), close, then
re-open. "Donna" wrote in message ... I have a document that was originally created in WP (the other company). It was converted to Word. I need to remove all of the formatting. Is there a way to do it without editing every line? -- Thanks for your help. Donna |

Select everything (shortcut is Ctrl+A). Remove all direct (non-style) character formatting with Ctrl+spacebar, and remove all direct paragraph formatting with Ctrl+Q. Any formatting that's left now is part of whatever styles have been applied; if you want to remove that, too, press Ctrl+Shift+N to apply Normal style to everything.
