Default Subscripts not aligned properly in CG Times

I have a problem with subscripts not extending beyond the baseline in CG
family of fonts (CG Times and CG Omega). It works fine in Times New Roman. I
use Word 2000 and the problem shows up in Win98 and XP Pro. My printer is HP
LaserJet 4000 (PCL6). Any help is appreciated.
