I've done some php so I should catch on. I just cannot find a page
some place that give me enough cod to begin fiddling with

If Rollnumber is a number, then display RollNumber if not display
nothing.

One way would be to use a conditional field to trap the error that results
if you calculate a no numeric result e.g.

{ If { ={ Mergefield Rollnumber } * 1 } "!*" "{ Mergefield
Rollnumber }"}
