In my Word 2007, I find my Inking at Review| Start Inkiing....however, this
option is not available if my graphics tablet is disconnected.

In Microsoft Office 2003 there is an "ink aware" toolbar that you can use

turn a handwritten word into an object or text. Is there such a toolbar in
