Default change level of header for TOC

Hi there

I am using Word 2003. I never used the automatic Table of Content before
and finally caught on about making "headers" so it now automatically updates.
However all my "headers" are the same level. I want to have 3 different
levels. How do you label or change a "header" level in the document so the
table of content will update showing the 3 different levels?

Thank-you!

Default change level of header for TOC

If you have used different heading (not header) levels, then the TOC should
reflect this. If you have used, say, Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3,
these will, by default, be assigned TOC 1, TOC 2, and TOC 3 styles in the
TOC (each lower level is slightly more indented). If you have used custom
heading styles, then you can assign an outline level in the Paragraph dialog
when you create the style, or you can choose an outline level in the Table
of Contents Options dialog by typing the appropriate number next to the
style name.
