Suddenly, my Word 2000 docs are displaying the dots in spaces between words.
I checked Tools | Options | View and ensured that "Spaces" is unchecked.
What should I do to remove the dots.

Toggle off the display of spaces, tabs, carriage returns by clicking on the
¶ (Show/Hide) button on the toolbar.
