Default How do I change the font size for footnotes in template

I am using Office 2007. I created a user Template for a document that I am
preparing using Word. When I applied that template to a document I created
using the Normal template, the footnote font size was changed - which I did
not want.

How do I modify my user template to change the font size to what I want?

One other comment ... maybe it was a mistake, but I have been using the
Master/subdocument feature. I converted all of the subdocuments to my user
template as I wanted to see the change in the subdocument as I edited it. I
also set up my user template in the Master document.

Is there a way to change all the subdocuments with just one change or do I
have to manually chance each one?

Thanks.

Change the Footnote Text style to suit your needs: Make sure that the
document you want to change is the active document. In the Styles pane
(which you can display for example by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), click the
Manage Styles button. On the Edit tab of the dialog box, locate Footnote
Text. Click Modify, choose the desired font size. Click OK. In order to
transfer the style to the attached template, click "New documents based on
this template" before clicking OK in the Manage Styles dialog box. If/when
you are prompted to save the attached template, choose to do so.

If you also want to change the font for the footnote reference number,
modify the Footnote Reference style in a similar fashion.

As far as I know, you have to change the template manually on each
subdocument.

But note that I, as well as most people in this forum, avoid the master
document feature because it leads to document corruption (see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/Wh...csCorrupt.htm).
