In the footer of long documents I always state the page number in the form
"Page # of ##" with the hashes replaced by the field formulae found in the header / footer toolbar.

Just recently the numbers shown on screen get mangled and print as "1 of 1. 2 of 2, 3 of 3" etc, whether to a printer or pdf.

Yet if I save and read the file into LibreOffice and print or pdf it from there it comes out correctly, viz 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3.

So is it a bug or have I created a configuration problem?

This is an old issue. Updating the printer driver may help. For more, see
