Default Document Map, Headings in tables

It says in the FAQ on the MS website:

Headings may be in a table or text box When you display the Document Map in
a document that contains only a table or one or more text boxes with heading
rows or heading styles, the heading rows or styles do not appear in the
Document Map.

To me this seems silly to not include headings that are within a table, are
there any extensions or fixes to allow headings inside tables to be added to
the map?

Thanks

As far as I know, there is no work-around available.
