Default Opening many word files simultaneously

Say I have many files I want to work with in word. Maybe 30 files. I do not
want to have to highlight them individually and open them one at a time. Can
I highlight all of them at once holding the cntrl key and double click the
last one to open them all. without causing corruption or problems in word.
Is this OK to do. Sure does save time when I need to work on many files that
relate to each other.

AFAIK, that is exactly what MS intended that capability to be used for. As
long as you have sufficient resources to support the number & combined size
of the files there should be no problem.

BTW- did you know that you can also *Close* all at the same time by holding
Shift while you open the file menu?
