Default Workgroup templates, how to access them from within Word?

I put a group of templates in a network share folder and pointed my tools |
options | file locations |workgroup templates to the shared templates
folder. When I open Word and select file | new, I am unable to access the
workgroup templates. Where are they supposed to show up?

They should be mixed in with your user templates on the appropriate tab,
depending on what folder you put them in; if you put them in the root
folder, they should be on the General tab.

You are doing everything right, assuming that your user has view privileges
for that folder. For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the
file new dialog, and locations of templates folders see
