Default Cutting and Pasting Word text into Access

I tried this post in the Access Discussion Group and got no response.
Perhaps someone in this group can help.

Users are frustrated when they have to cut/copy and paste text from a Wrod
ducment to an Access field and the smart quotes, em dashes, etc. don't show
up correctly. Are there any tips that users could use to make the paste work
better? We're using Access 2003.

is some way setting up the text encoding for your access database. if
so, make sure it is the same encoding as your word document. this would
be something like western or unicode-8 or something such thing.

let me know if this helps.
