Default Revision/Change bars (vertical lines in outside margin)

How can I change the width of the revision bar (vertical line) that appears
in the outside margin when Track Changes is on. Mil Spec manuals want a
6-point line, but Word only provides a line that appears to be 1 point or
less. I am using Word 2002.

If Word will not do it, look at another product if your customer or
internally feel it is a not acceptable.
I prefer Adobe FrameMaker's capabilities and ease of use once setup with
templates and style guides. It is far more powerful and far more flexible
than Word. It doesn't have the annoying auto change feature that is difficult
to control sometimes. It is also designed for larger documents and handles
then with ease.
Unfortunately FrameMaker is expensive and only available for Windows and
Solaris.
I have used both versions and prefer Solaris over Windows any time offerred
a choice.

Does anybody know whether this is still true for word 2007?
Default size is really inconspicuous!

TIA, Andrea
