Autotext does still exist but it has been rather subsumed into the new
Building Blocks feature. You no longer get AutoComplete tips for AutoTexts, and, so, cannot insert them with Enter, but you can still do it with F3 when the entered text uniquely identies one Autotext. Building Blocks are much more comprehensive and a full explanation is far too much for a single post here. One type of Building Block, called Quick Parts, and generally considered to be the replacement for AutoTexts, can be found on the Insert tab of the Ribbon; others, for example Cover Pages, Headers, Footers, are in various places on the Ribbon. From the menu of any of them you have access to the Building Blocks Organizer, from which you can work with all available Building blocks. -- Enjoy, Tony www.WordArticles.com "steve" steve @discussions.microsoft.com wrote in message ... while I type, I used to be able to able to use the auto text and press enter for auto complete, for things like big words, my name etc, to save time, where is this now with 2007 word????
