[ocean mist[_2_]]

If I put a filename and filepath in the footer of a document, it does not
update itself automatically when I move it to another folder or drive. How do
I get it to do that?

Switching to Print Preview and then back to your favorite view will update
the file name field.

Filename fields (in fact most fields) do not automatically update. You may
find it useful to have an update button on the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar).
The sample code shown at http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm will
work for most circumstances.
