Default how to straighten downward rows of figures

When I write figures, like accounting statement, the row of figures
(downward) are not straight n line. Even when I move the shift back or shift
forward the figgures are still not in straigt rows.
example:
Fixed Asset.
Land 20,000.00
Building 200,000.00
Motor Vehicles 60,000.00

Even with such three items the rows are not straight, ie, 60,000.00 of M.
Vehicles is slightly on the right of the other two figures above it.
Thanks.

Use a decimal tab to align your figures. Format | Tabs | Clear All | Decimal
| fill in tab stop position.
