Default mail merge was working until i installed kb911701..

i have been using mail merge very successful until i installed kb911701. i
quit working. i uninstalled it and things started working again except for
one word/excel where i have just created a vba behavior and it will not link
at all to that spread sheet. If i save it as a .cvs and bring it back into
excel the mail merge works again. What a work around.
